  I asked Kayla to make me a Strawberry Boston Shake and because it is not on the menu, I explained to her how the last young lady told me to ask for it the next time I wanted one.
  
  "Take a small strawberry shake and place it in a large cup. Then put a child's strawberry sunday on top of it." I used a lot of hand description that anyone with good will would understand.
  
  Kayla said, "I will give them to you in separate cups and you can make it yourself."
  
  I explained to her that it was not a big deal and other DQ employees have done this before. I explained it used to be on the menu years ago. I tried reasoning with her that I have had this desert made for me many times. She seemed to give in to the idea and took the rest of the family"s orders.
  
  She never said no or I am sorry but I cannot. I paid her with a card.
  
  She placed our order on the counter and it was not what I asked her for- and that's when the snotty side of her kicked in.
  
  She thought this old guy was just going to take his order and walk away with his tail between his legs.
  
  She was rude. She never once said she was not going to make the desert as requested. She took the money and then gave me her answer.
  
  If she had made it clear that she was not going to do it, I would have thanked her for her time and left. My kids were embarrassed by Dad's confrontation in public.
  
  We will not be back until Kayla issues and apology or is no longer employed at The Dairy Queen.
  
  She talked to and treated this 58 year old man like I was some kind of teenager trying to get a banana split for the price of a kids cone.

  The ice cream is good. Its clean inside and we had no wait however the staff was not on thier game.
